4/12 30th Ave, Astoria

Pigeon is puffed up and making a loud obnoxious noise for no apparent reason except to get attention. EVERYONE walking by is staring at it. It suddenly occurs to me that no one even looked at the people I have mentioned in previous posts, yet every single passerby shoots this bird a look of disgust as if it has just ruined their lives by being crazy. I realize what an odd city I live in.

4/11 N train 10:30 PM

Man with bottle in paper bag: Roudolph the red nosed reindeer! Had a veeeeery shiny nose! And if you ever saw it you would even say it glows. EVERYBODY! (No one sings)
All of the other reindeer - seriously, people! Where's your Christmas spirit!?
EVERYBODY! (Still no one sings)

(Singing continues 2 more stops until I get off the train. Can still hear it as I walk away. )

3/31 2nd Ave near Whole Foods

It started ok....
(Ashleigh and I walk innocently down the street, talking.)

Leering man outside bar: "You girls are both very beautiful.

(Long Pause.)

I'd f*** both of you."

(We wait until we get to the corner then collapse into laughter. )
