Strange things that happen to me or people I know while in transit in NYC.
Pigeon is puffed up and making a loud obnoxious noise for no apparent reason except to get attention. EVERYONE walking by is staring at it. It suddenly occurs to me that no one even looked at the people I have mentioned in previous posts, yet every single passerby shoots this bird a look of disgust as if it has just ruined their lives by being crazy. I realize what an odd city I live in.

"She reads books like you breathe air" Dan explained to his friend as I picked up an 800 page novel with delight. I'll read just about anything I can get my hands on, fiction, non-fiction, you name it. Friends are always asking me for recommendations of books, so Social Readia is, for me, a clever way of helping people find great new books to check out.
